Babassu Detangling Conditioner

I love Obia naturals products! Every product I have used from this line is absolutely the best! I have replaced all of my hair regime with this line and my hair loves it! I have tried many black hair products and none can match to the way Obia makes my hair instantly feel. The detangling conditioner makes my hair so soft and manageable.If I could I would give it 10 stars!

It is very light, and doesn’t leave a coating after rinsing like most conditioners I have used. It defines my curls, and leaves them feeling so soft! Definitely one of my new favs!

This conditioner didnt work so well on my hair. It didnt have the slip it promised. I love the curl enhancing custard so Im going to try the deep conditioner instead.

This works amazing as a detangler, but I use 1/3 of the bottle because my hair soaks it up. I tried it as a leave in specifically to define my curls and it works great! It doesn't have enough moisture for me to use it on it's own, but I can't complain since that's not it's intended purpose.

It took a minute for me to figure out how this works on my hair...beautifully it seems. BUT I use about a third of the bottle each wash to get excellent detangling. I apply 5 pumps (added a pump to my bottle) for the whole head, separate into sections and add three pumps to each section lightly finger detangle and clip each section up. Do my showery business then go back and really detangle each section - by then the product has soaked in and I get the slip I need to throughly detangle my hair with my fingers or by then I can use a wide tooth comb but I don’t often need to. There are other conditioners with more slip as soon as it’s applied, but I prefer Obia’s Babassu detangler because it rinses clean - no weird film, just detangled poppin coils. My only wish is that this came in lager sizes because I find that I’m restocking often so I’m not caught without my favorite. Love this detangler, thank you Miss Obia!

I have never in my life witnessed such sorcery like this! Detangling can be a chore for me and my type 4 hair but this stuff instantly softened my hair and helped my comb slide through my tangles. The plus is it doesnt contain any silicones which usually help with slip when it comes to other conditioners. I love the smell of this product and how it made my hair feel while in and after I rinsed it out. My hair is soft and shiny and I will continue to buy this stuff!

So it moisturizes well, however there wasn’t as much slip as I would like. This is a product I would use to moisture by curls during the detangling process, but I wouldn’t rely on it alone (with water ofc) to detangle.

I 'discovered' Obia Naturals at the Charleston Natural Hair Expo this year. The Sweet Almond Heavy Cream became a new staple that day...but I should have paid closer attention to the other products! This Babassu Detangling Conditioner is the business - magik in a bottle for sure. I used as directed and my detangling time (and hair loss) was significantly reduced - I'm talking by 70-80% curlfriends!! A generous application of this to freshly washed hair and my kinky z-coils (which tend to matt-up something serious) just gave way with little fuss. Best. Detangling. Experience. Ever.
