The Low Porosity Hair Bundle is a four-step set of low porosity hair products — cleanse, deep condition with heat, hydrate, seal — for curls whose tightly closed cuticle makes water bead up and product sit on top. Every step is PROTEIN FREE, so protein-sensitive hair can use the whole routine.

What's in the box

  • Shampoo bar, your choice (4 oz / 113 g) — Coconut Shea to moisturize, or Neem Tea Tree to clarify buildup.
  • Babassu Deep Conditioner (8 oz / 226 g) — the heat-activated moisture treatment.
  • Curl Hydration Spray (8 fl oz / 236 mL) — the water layer.
  • Sweet Almond Heavy Cream (8 oz / 226 g) — the leave-in that locks it in.

Four full sizes, worth $69.96 bought separately.

Why the order matters

Low porosity hair can hold moisture fine. Getting it in is the hard part.

  • Cleanse: a sulfate-free bar lifts buildup that would block the conditioner.
  • Deep condition with heat: warmth gently lifts the cuticle, so babassu oil, avocado oil and panthenol — a humectant that holds water to the strand — absorb instead of coating.
  • Hydrate: the spray's glycerin pulls water toward the hair without piling up.
  • Seal: sweet almond and castor oils in the Heavy Cream slow that water from escaping.

How to use it

  1. Cleanse with your shampoo bar and rinse.
  2. Apply Babassu Deep Conditioner, cover with a plastic cap, and add heat for 30 minutes. Rinse cool.
  3. Mist damp hair with Curl Hydration Spray, section by section.
  4. Smooth a small amount of Heavy Cream through each section.

What to expect

Softer on the first wash, as long as you don't skip the heat. The real test is day three: hair that still feels moist absorbed the moisture instead of wearing it. Start with less cream — low porosity hair overloads fast.

Vegan and cruelty-free. Made without sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, or petroleum.

FREE standard shipping on U.S. orders of $50 or more. Under $50, standard shipping is a $7 flat rate. Afterpay is available at checkout if you'd like to split your payment into four interest-free installments.

All sales are final. If your order arrives damaged, email info@obianaturals.com within 5 business days and we'll make it right.

Low porosity, or not?

This set is for hair that won't let water in.

Porosity is the cuticle, the overlapping shingles on the outside of every strand. On low porosity hair they lie flat and tight. Water, oil and conditioner can't get between them, so product coats the hair instead of feeding it.

This set is for you if…

  • Water beads up and sits on your hair instead of soaking in
  • Product sits on top, no matter how much you use
  • Your hair feels coated and dry at the same time
  • Protein makes it stiff. Every step here is protein-free

Reach for something else if…

The one-minute spray test: clean, dry hair, no product. Mist one section with plain water. Beads up and sits → low porosity, this set. Sinks in slowly → medium; go by your curl type. Soaks in the second it lands → high.

What's inside, and why it works

Four steps. One job each.

Shampoo bar, your choice

Cleanse. A sulfate-free bar lifts buildup that would block the conditioner. Saponified oils do the cleaning, and vegetable glycerin holds water so hair rinses soft. Coconut Shea to moisturize. Neem Tea Tree to clear buildup: saponified avocado and castor oils, no coconut, with neem and tea tree essential oils. 4 oz / 113 g.

Babassu Deep Conditioner

Deep condition with heat. Babassu seed oil melts close to body temperature, so with warmth it spreads and absorbs instead of sitting on the strand. Panthenol is a humectant that holds water to the strand, and avocado oil sinks into the shaft. This is the heat step. 8 oz / 226 g.

Curl Hydration Spray

Hydrate. The water layer. Purified water is the moisture; vegetable glycerin pulls water toward the hair and holds it there without piling up. A light touch of argan and rose oils. 8 fl oz / 236 mL.

Sweet Almond Heavy Cream

Seal. Sweet almond and castor oils slow that water from escaping. Start with less: low porosity hair overloads fast. 8 oz / 226 g.

pH 4.5–5.5 on the deep conditioner, the spray and the cream: the slightly acidic range where the cuticle lies flat. 100% protein-free. FREE FROM mineral oil, petroleum, sulfates, parabens. No silicones. Vegan and cruelty-free. Made in our own manufacturing space in Dallas. The Coconut Shea bar contains coconut oil; Neem Tea Tree is coconut-oil-free.

Ask Obia

Questions, answered.

What exactly is in the bundle?

Four products: your choice of Coconut Shea (the moisturizing cleanse) or Neem Tea Tree (clarifying, for a dry or buildup-prone scalp) Shampoo Bar (4 oz), Babassu Deep Conditioner (8 oz), Curl Hydration Spray (8 fl oz), and Sweet Almond Heavy Cream (8 oz).

Is the Low Porosity Hair Bundle protein-free?

Yes — the bundle is 100% protein-free across all four products, so protein-sensitive hair can use every step.

What order do I use them in?

Cleanse with your shampoo bar. Apply Babassu Deep Conditioner, cover, and add heat for 30 minutes. Mist with Curl Hydration Spray, then layer Sweet Almond Heavy Cream through damp hair to seal.

Why does the heat step matter so much?

Low-porosity hair has a cuticle that resists moisture. Heat under the cap during the 30-minute deep conditioning is what lets the conditioner absorb fully instead of sitting on top of the strand.

What if I skip the heat?

Then most of the conditioner sits on top. A tight cuticle doesn't let it in on its own; warmth is what lifts it a little. The first-wash softness depends on the heat, so keep the plastic cap on and add a steamer or heat cap for the 30 minutes.

Which bar do I choose?

Coconut Shea is the moisturizing cleanse, for regular wash days. Neem Tea Tree is the clarifying one, for a dry, buildup-prone scalp, and it's coconut-oil-free. On low porosity hair, buildup is what blocks the conditioner: if products have started sitting on your hair instead of sinking in, pick Neem Tea Tree.

How do I know my hair is low porosity?

The one-minute spray test. Start with clean, dry hair and no product. Mist one section with plain water. If it beads up and sits, that's low porosity, and this set. If it sinks in slowly, that's medium: go by your curl type. If it soaks in the second it lands, that's high porosity: the Babassu Hair Therapy Mask or the Type 3 Moisture Bundle.

Does Subscribe & Save apply to this bundle?

No — Subscribe & Save is available on single products, not on bundles or gift cards. You can subscribe to any of these four items individually instead.
