Why it works

Protein-sensitive hair can turn stiff and straw-like when hydrolyzed proteins build up, and some curls react the same way to coconut oil. This set leaves both out and lets moisture do the work.

Cleanse: saponified avocado and castor oils wash, with neem, tea tree and rosemary for the scalp.
Condition: both babassu conditioners use rice bran oil — an oil, not a protein — with babassu and avocado oils for slip and softness.

Step 1, cleanse. Saponified avocado, palm and castor oils do the cleaning, so there's no coconut oil and no sulfates. Neem, tea tree and rosemary essential oils leave a dry, buildup‑prone scalp feeling fresh. 4 oz / 113 g.

Babassu Detangling Conditioner

Step 2, detangle. The rice in it is rice bran oil, not rice protein. Babassu and avocado oils with cationic conditioners give the slip, so knots release instead of snapping. 8 fl oz / 236 mL.

Babassu Deep Conditioner
